    "Immigration Enforcement Policies and ICE Raids:
    Key Guidance for Hospitals and
    Health Care Providers"

    Epstein Becker Green attorneys Melissa Jampol, Arthur Fried, and Sharon Peters will provide critical insights into recent immigration enforcement changes impacting health care facilities.  ICE agents may request information from providers about their patients, including protected health information, and may even seek to question or detain patients when they have been admitted to the hospital or come to a clinic to obtain treatment or ask about visitors to the health care facility.

    The session covers best practices for:

    • preparing for onsite ICE enforcement;
    • updating policies on federal/local investigations and interactions with law enforcement;
    • designating key representatives;
    • training frontline staff;
    • ensuring Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance; and
    • safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors.

    Gain actionable strategies to effectively manage the intersection of immigration enforcement and health care operations while maintaining compliance and ethical responsibility.
